COOL BREEZE INSTALLATION TIPS

Locate the Air Conditioning unit as centrally as possible to facilitate even duct runs.
Locate away from exhaust vents or chimneys.
In order to prevent interference to radio and TV reception, locate away from antennae.
Although Cool Breeze coolers are quiet in operation, it will be beneficial to locate unit in a position not close to other people. Rather locate unit at back of building away from neighbours. Locating a unit higher on a pitched roof will generate less reflected noise. Generally noise is not a problem, but exercising a little care in this regard will minimise the potential for future problems.

Dropper duct should be securely fixed to the roof structure (see Installation Methods)
* ENSURE DROPPER DUCT IS SQUARE AND LEVEL*
It is essential that the dropper duct is installed square and level. If the dropper duct is not square and level problems may occur with water levels and unit distortion which will lead to further complications. Cool Breeze will not honor warranty claims that result from incorrectly installed dropper ducts. Once dropper duct has been installed, first check if the top of the duct is level by placing a spirit level over it. Secondly check that the dropper duct is square by ensuring that the diagonal measurements of the dropper duct are equal.
Only once the dropper duct is correct can the unit be placed onto the dropper duct and fixed by the four pop rivets which are provided.

It is advisable to install a 15mm in-line water filter to the water supply of the unit. This will prolong the life of the internal working parts and the pads.
Mains water pressure should be a minimum of 1 bar.
Water level in unit is factory set, but can be changed by raising or lowering the float on the float valve assembly. Water level should be ± 10mm below overflow level on dump valve.

Cool Breeze coolers run off standard 220V power supply.
It is recommended that a qualified electrician carry out the connection to mains.
A dedicated power circuit with a 15 amp circuit breaker should be used to power unit.
Power cable should run inside dropper duct until above roof and then should exit dropper duct via a drilled hole with a cable gland. Power cable then enters unit directly via hole drilled in bottom of unit and black box. This hole in the black box should be sealed with an appropriate cable gland to avoid contaminant being sucked into the black box containing the PC board.
